PSG’s Year in Review: Rocking It in 2021
PSG’s Year in Review: Rocking It in 2021
At Point Solutions Group, we don’t call ourselves a diverse band of technology badasses without good cause. 2021 was another year in which we clearly earned that title (even if we did choose it ourselves).
Thankfully, we’ve got plenty of awards and rankings from outside sources to back it up. In 2021, Point Solutions Group made it into the top 500 of Inc. Magazine’s annual list of America’s 5,000 fastest growing companies. We also made the lists of Colorado’s Top 100 Woman Owned Companies and Top 200 Private Companies for the second year in a row. PSG grew by 80 percent in 2020 alone, and officially completed our acquisition of Denver’s KG Lewis. Oh, and in 2020, we were also named a Colorado Company to Watch.
In addition to these fabulous awards and accolades, we did a fair share of awesome stuff in 2021. Here’s the overview:
Grew our Colorado presence by 40%
2021 was a year of steady growth for Point Solutions Group, and our 5th year in a row of double digit growth. Where we really rocked it was our expansion in Colorado, specifically. We’re now working with one of the largest aerospace companies in Colorado and continuing to expand across the state.
Moved our offices to downtown Denver
As we continue to grow our commercial practice in Colorado, we figured it would be nice to get right into the thick of things. We’re now located on 17th and Larimer in downtown Denver. It makes us easily accessible for clients and gives us a great excuse to escape our home offices.
Landed some sweet new contracts
In addition to ongoing work with our existing clients, we won 25 new contracts in 2021. We can’t name names, but several of those were with larger enterprise clients – some of whom hit unicorn status. So, that was pretty cool.
Won a prime contract from the DoD
Speaking of sweet new contracts… prior to 2021, our work with the Department of Defence was as a subcontractor with other prime contractors. We knew the ins and outs of government contracts and the security requirements to be eligible. Having now landed a direct contract of our own, we are even more well-equipped to help our clients navigate that process.
Became a CMMC Registered Practitioner Organization
Since we clearly know how to win DoD contracts, we wanted to make sure we could help our clients do the same. As a certified RPO, we’re fully qualified to get you to the CMMC maturity level appropriate to your business.
Expanded our team and offerings
That diversity thing we mentioned up above? It’s something we take seriously. We closed out 2021 at 35 percent diverse, which is pretty remarkable for a U.S.-based technology company. We also expanded our work in InfoSec, security remediation, and compliance.
Looking ahead to 2022
We’re not the kind of company to rest on our laurels. In 2022, we’re planning to continue expanding our commercial practice and presence in colorado. We’ll be leaning into healthcare IT and working with larger SaaS companies, in addition to growing our exceptional federal offerings.
We also want to continue to grow. PSG’s hiring goal for this year is to grow the staff by 25 percent, focusing on diversity and team growth. And – just putting this out there – we’re open to both organic and acquisitive growth options.
